Finally starting Internet Marketing in 2012. A project you are having in mind for a long time. You feel attracted by Internet Marketing on the one side and on the other hand you were always afraid of it.
For sure you are already looking around for a while. You have read a lot of the possibilities Internet Marketing offers to you. There are those involved in Affiliate Marketing, others are in love with TEs (Traffic Exchange), the next swears upon his own products. Products in form of software, e-book or whatever. Oh yes, then there are still a lot of membership sites which are promising a quick and easy income, PPC (Paid per Click) are a sweet source of income too, set up a blog on writing about your passion…
So far some examples on how to earn money when starting Internet Marketing in 2012. But then you also heard about branding yourself, which means having a website of your own, maintain your blog with regular posting, the money is in the list, use social networks…
Great it all sounds very nice to you but still you have no clue on how or where to start. You are still confused thanks to all these different information.
When starting with Internet Marketing one thing is very, very important:
FIRST OF ALL: Choose the way you want to follow in 2012. When you want to start with Affiliate Marketing which means promoting other people products, then you have to think about:
1. In which market do I want to look for products?
Some may be interested in games for PC or Smartphones, others are more interested in the health sector, the third prefers a finance topic… These are only examples for well converting markets.
2. Now you have found the market segment, ask yourself how you want proceed.
- Will you publish your own product on a topic or
- will you promote an already existing product?
When you want to promote your own product you have to create it in case it is not yet ready to use on your desk. Then you need to set up a website in form of a Squeeze Page or as a Blog.
In case you like to promote a product as an Affiliate Marketer, choose a product you like. Now you have two possibilities to promote this product:
- or you are promoting the ready-to-use page with your affiliate link or
- you start writing your personal reviews on these products which means to set up your own site.
That’s it regarding the strategy.
You are absolutely right, when starting Internet Marketing in 2012 you need more than a strategy. But the strategy is the first and very important step. The strategy will be the map for your ongoing process. If you do not have a strategy you will not succeed. Without a strategy you will go on looking here and reading there without combining anything and loosing a lot of time.
